Release notes

What changed, version by version

Newest at the top, written for a person. What changed, what broke and what is still missing.

The "what's new" text in the Play Store comes from the same files as this page, so the two cannot drift apart. The source files live in site/releases/.

0.1.0 Not released yet

In development · not in the Play Store

The first line of the log exists, deliberately, before there is anything to release.

What is built

  • On-device card storage: loyalty cards, gift vouchers and memberships, with folders and manual ordering. Tested.
  • On-device barcode rendering, including check-digit validation. An EAN-13 with a wrong check digit is rejected rather than drawn incorrectly.
  • The card list.
  • The store-database pipeline: 4,371 stores across six chains from OpenStreetMap, validated, signed, and reproducible byte for byte. Per-chain figures are on the store data page.
  • The brand catalogue: 48 Dutch chains researched, 38 with a loyalty programme.

What is not built

  • Camera scanning and importing from your photo roll.
  • Arrival detection. The headline feature is not finished.
  • The widgets, the Quick Settings tile and the launcher shortcuts.
  • The monthly store-list sync. The bundled list already works.
  • Real screenshots on this site. What is there are sketches.

What we already know is wrong

  • For 115 stores we have coordinates and no address. Arrival detection is unaffected; a postcode search would not be.
  • Etos is the weakest chain in the database: roughly 29 stores are missing.
  • Of the 48 chains in the catalogue, the preferred barcode format is an assumption rather than a fact for 35 of them. It therefore counts only as a hint for hand-typed numbers; what the scanner reports always wins.
